Watch Ken Block Flog the Hell Out of the 2017 Focus RS in a Ford Factory

2017 Ford Focus RS

Professional hoon Ken Block knows a thing or two about pitching a car into a lurid four-wheel drift. The just-announced Ford Focus RS packs "more than 315 horsepower" and a high-performance all-wheel-drive system. You know where this is going.

Ford asked Block, who served as a consultant on the car's development, to run a Focus RS prototype through its paces. The venue? Ford's Cologne, Germany, manufacturing plant. Repeat: Cologne, also known as the very plant that will be building the car.

The action includes stuff that we haven't seen in a Block video before, like the below, and it ends with Block sliding the thing into the press-preview event held earlier today at the facility (at which we snagged some additional info that wasn't in the press release). Also worth noting: The car sounds pretty rad.

We've seen what Block can do with plenty of horsepower and a blatant disregard for tire life in an industrial setting. So buckle in—this is just as wild.
