Toyota Social Safety Campaign Aims to Keep Kids Safe

Toyota #Buckleupforlife

Despite my desire for a more meaningful Christmas, my family usually goes down to the wire frantically trying to fill shopping carts and stockings. I'm probably not alone with this hectic holiday hullabaloo, but even with all the activity there should be enough time to take part in Toyota's child safety campaign.

Toyota's #BUCKLEUPFORLIFE campaign uses social media to buckle up many children who otherwise would be without child safety seats this holiday season.

Buckle Up for Life is a collaboration between Toyota and Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center that aims to educate families about passenger safety behaviors. Now in its 10th year, the national program provides free child car seats to families in need.

So how does this work? Simply take a picture of a person or a thing that you love, all safely buckled up in your car, and share it via Instagram or Twitter with the hashtag #BUCKLEUPFORLIFE. Toyota will donate 10 child safety seats for every photo submitted. The promotion ends Dec. 31 and Toyota is on the hook for a maximum of 10,000 seats, according to the Buckle Up for Life website.

Seriously people, this has got to be the easiest way to help others this holiday. Pull out your iPhone, snap and upload more than a few pics, and lets work together to get every child safely buckled up for that trek over the river and through the woods to granny's house this season.
