Want to buy a small luxury SUV? You're not alone. Two of the fastest-selling cars in the country last month were the all-new 2015 Porsche Macan and the pretty-much-unchanged 2015 Audi Q5.

The Macan regains the top spot it held back in May, taking just eight days from the day it arrived at a dealer until the day the keys were handed over to a lucky buyer. Ten of the 22 fastest-selling cars were luxury SUVs, while SUVs overall made up 14 of the 22.
While our top cars sold on average in just 12 days, the overall average for all cars in July was 68 days. That's up from 64 days in June and 62 days in July 2013.
The two top performers in our recent $30,000 Cheap Speed Challenge rounded out the fastest-selling list, the 2015 Subaru WRX and the 2015 Volkswagen GTI. They were also on last month's list, so we can't take too much credit there.
The cars making up the slowest-selling list did change quite a bit this month. We don't include models in that list that have a model-year-newer version also currently on sale. A 2014 being sold at the same time as a 2015 is often harder to sell.
So while a few like the 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander remain, Acura has two entries on the list, the soon-to-be-replaced TL and the all-new RLX, which has had a lukewarm reception since it was released.
Cadillac's own large luxury sedan, the XTS, may be a favorite of ours to drive but it too is selling at a slow rate, which is why it's one of our picks for shoppers to check for bargains.

About the Lists
The Fastest- and Slowest-Selling Cars list reports the average number of days it takes to sell models from the day they arrive on the lot until the final paperwork is signed by a buyer. This is not a days-of-inventory list like you may find on other websites. With lots mostly clear of 2013 models, we look exclusively at 2014 and 2015 models.
For the fastest sellers, we only list vehicles that pass a certain threshold of sales in order to weed out limited editions, ultra-high-performance cars and others that might skew the numbers or otherwise inaccurately portray popularity. To highlight all slow sellers, slowest sellers have no such threshold.
Our Picks highlight cars that take a significant time before they're sold and might be overlooked by shoppers. Dealers could be more motivated to sell these cars.
