- Chinese consumers, long used to paying for cars with cash, are now opting for credit. 85 percent of Chinese consumers buy cars in cash, versus 30 percent of American consumers. But this is changing, as the younger generation of consumers doesn't want to wait until they have enough money saved up.
- Consumer Reports is the latest in a long line of publications that have no love for the Mitsubishi Mirage. Our own Sajeev Mehta will be delivering his verdict in the near future.
- Carlos Ghosn is Japan's highest-paid executive, bringing in about $10 million in total compensation. That pales in comparison to Alan Mulally ($23 million), Mary Barra ($14 million) and Martin Winterkorn ($15 million).
- A survey by the UK government indicates that EV consideration is low. Only about 5 percent of UK consumers are considering an EV, despite high fuel prices and relatively shorter driving distances.
