In the market for a high-mileage hybrid around the Halloween holiday? Honda has a treat for you. On Oct. 31, the 2014 Accord Hybrid will begin haunting dealerships at a starting price of $29,945; all prices include a $790 destination charge.

The 2014 Accord Hybrid comes in three trim levels: base, EX-L ($32,695) and Touring ($35,695). The base model comes standard with a blind spot warning system, rearview camera, LED running lights, Bluetooth connectivity, alloy wheels and a 10-way power-adjustable driver's seat. The EX-L adds forward collision and lane departure warning systems, leather-trimmed heated front seats, the HondaLink multimedia system, a memory driver's seat and a one-touch moonroof. The Touring package adds navigation with voice recognition and traffic data, and adaptive cruise control.

All models share the same mileage ratings, an EPA-estimated 50/45 mpg city/highway; Honda says it's the highest among four-door sedans. The sedan's powertrain combines a 124-kilowatt electric motor and lithium-ion battery with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, and is operable in fully electric mode, gas-only or combined power. The 2014 Accord Hybrid is the first hybrid to be manufactured at Honda's Marysville Auto Plant in Ohio, and the automaker's second hybrid produced in the U.S., joining the Civic Hybrid, built in Greensburg, Ind.
