Scientifically Proven: Taxes Can Kill You Dead

If you value your life, don't get on the road on Tuesday. Your chances of getting killed in an accident will be six percent higher than on any other days. Why? Tuesday, April 17th is tax day.

Researchers from the University of Toronto sifted through 30 years of National Highway Traffic Safety Administration records. They found that there is a significantly higher risk of being in a fatal road accident on tax day. On average, about 13 additional people get killed in car crashes every tax day, an increased risk of about 6%. It happens every year, it is as sure as you know, death and taxes.

We fully expect that Ray LaHood will suggest a ban of tax day.

The study was published in the April 11, 2012 issue of The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA).
