Go-To Car Music Keep Families in Harmony

Who wins the contest for coolest dad in the school dropoff lane? Well, his YouTube name is Southlandification and he's got his family, including a little boy, singing along to Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" as they drive to school. Watch the video below. What a great way to start the day. It's a quick drive to school for Southlandification. "Depending on traffic, we can usually start the song as we pull out of the driveway, and pull into the school just as the song ends," he wrote in his YouTube comments. For my family, the King of Pop has been the keeper of the peace in our car for a couple of years. Both my 5- and 9-year-old sons can sing every song on Michael Jackson's "Greatest Hits," and they're usually happy to listen to it for the gazillionth time as we drive around Chicago. I might be ready for some new car music, though. I'm leaning toward Neil Diamond's "The Very Best of Neil Diamond," if for no other reason than to teach my boys the lyrics to "Sweet Caroline." What's your go-to music that keeps both you and the kids happy? Tell us in the comment section below. 'Bohemian Rhapsody' Becomes Family Jam on the Way to School MSNBC.com
