Well, royals using the recycled things may sound weird to many ears, but that’s what the Prince of Whales did. That may not be for the personal use, but you’ll be surprised to know that his Highness has the aluminum pistons from his Aston Martin DB6 Volante melted into the cufflinks. He’s done it all to help raise the funds for The Prince’s trust, which will be used to get more young people into jobs.

These cufflinks came from six donor pistons of DB6 Volante that were available when Prince converted his car to run on Biofuel. Accented with 18ct gold and priced at £995, a total of 200 cufflinks have been made while collaborating with TMB ArtMetal. These cufflinks has been melted into two forms wherein one edition is the miniature sculpture of DB6 Volante, while other resembles car’s iconic wheel spinners.
