The new 2011 Audi A8 has been revealed on the eve of the 2009 L.A. Auto Show at the at the star-studded “Art of Progress” exhibition in Miami. It is evident from the celebrity presence that the new sedan holds big responsibility to impress everyone with its charisma and a range of updated technology. The 2011 Audi A8 will come in two flavors, the shorter dubbed “Normal Wheel Base (NWB)” and the long wheelbase to be revealed next year but let’s just talk about the impressive NWB for the time being. The NWB version of the 2011 A8 will focus on sport driving behavior with its more evolutionary than revolutionary styling. Apart from the styling the new sedan holds much under its skin like the MMI interface, adaptive air suspension, available quattro all-wheel drive, and an aluminum space frame including full LED headlamps; and an updated 4.2-liter FSI V8 engine (372 bhp) and an eight-speed Tiptronic gearbox. Despite being more powerful, the A8 is more fuel efficient with a claimed top speed of 155 mph and to 62 mph in just 5.7 seconds.
