The SPHINX supercar concept from Iranian designer Behzad Hormoz takes inspiration from the rich cultural heritage and ancient history of the country. The design inspiration comes from the stone creatures at Persepolis. As made famous by the Sphinx at Giza, the sphinx statues are a mix of several animals.

This mid-engined concept has room only for the driver, and remains lightweight by the use of aluminum for its body, while carbon fiber is used for the chassis. The scissor-like doors of the concept open like the wings of an eagle, and the glass roof is pushed back at the same time to allow easy access for the driver.
