In an attempt to make the fastest street legal car in the world, Joe Wilkins has fixed a jet engine in his car. Wilkins is aiming to cross the 300 MPH and planning to attempt a land speed record in the near future. The car has Ford’s outer appearance, Chrysler engine and Chevrolet drivetrain. Christened Hemi Jet, the car is currently moving around Navasota, Texas.
Hemi Jet could be a good competitor to the supercars like Bugatti Veyron, Aero TT does 255 and others that create thrill on the road.
But, the proud 61-years-old maker of Hemi Jet regrets the fact that he won’t be sitting behind the wheel during the test run as his growing age and slow reflexes won’t allow him to do the same.
