The London based EcoCa is all set to launch its world cheapest car that will directly pose threat to India’s peoples car, the Tata Nano. It’ll cost around $2,200 that is $500 less than what Tata Nano, presently the cheapest car in the world sells for. EcoCa’s car will have a 340cc petrol engine and will accommodate two people.

The car will weigh around 330kg as its body is made out of ABS plastic that has a great resistance against impact of heat and chemicals. Touting a top speed of 70km/ph with a pretty efficient mileage of about 28 km per liter seems a tough competitor for Tata’s ambitious family car.

EcoCa Ltd’s MD, Karman M Naghdi hopes to venture into the Indian market, and sees it as the prime hub for small cars. For this he confirms that the Co. is in talks with some Indian automakers, but for secrecy of sorts hasn’t revealed the names.
