If it's possible to proclaim that an 850-hp, Brabus-tuned Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG isn't the baddest E63 extant, we're doing it. That's because as awesome as this Brabus 850 6.0 is, the wagon version is even more rad. Still, for those without the five-door fetish—what's with those people?—this four-door 850 6.0 is more than worthy of your attention.
Like the wagon we detailed late last year, the sedan packs an enlarged twin-turbocharged V-8—displacement is increased from 5.5 liters to 5.9, thus the "6.0" moniker—that produces a monstrous amount of torque. (For a full rundown of the extensive upgrades made to the motor, go here.) With a maximum possible 1069 lb-ft of twist, the Brabus gives locomotives torque envy. In fact, Brabus limits the figure to just 848 lb-ft in practice so as to spare the drivetrain a life of toil and sadness.

Performance is positively epic, with 60 mph coming in just 3.7 seconds in rear-drive models. That time drops to 3.1 seconds the E63's 4MATIC all-wheel drive, which is optional in Europe and standard in the U.S. Brabus says that, depending on which final drive ratio and tires are selected, top speed varies between 186 mph and an absurd 217. It's won't be often that anyone might find the room—or the cojones—to reach such speeds on public roads, but this Brabus 850's insane orange paint, on the other hand, can be enjoyed anytime, anywhere.
