We love us some Cadillac ATS sedan. GM's engineering wizards endowed it with a chassis of the gods—the Caddy was our favorite car to wheel in a comparo with the Lexus IS350 and BMW 335i—and the forthcoming ATS coupe ought to deliver the same delectable experience. We now know that car's price of entry: $38,990 for the turbocharged 2.0-liter model.
The coupe won't offer the sedan's base 2.5-liter four-cylinder, offering only the blown four and a naturally aspirated, as-yet-unpriced 3.6-liter V-6 at the top of the range. Both rear- and all-wheel drive will be available. We don't know much more at this point about the two-door's equipment roster or option costs, so while the comparisons may not ultimately be this easy, the starter ATS coupe will cost $2970 more than the cheapest rear-drive 2.0-liter sedan and $2435 less than the BMW 428i. We expect to have the final details on the ATS coupe very soon, as it's due to hit dealers this summer.
