-Navigate your browser over to TopGear.com. Notice anything different? Check that top banner image: Where once we saw Clarkson, Hammond, May, and the Stig, now only the tame racing driver remains.
I guess it was bound to happen. Clarkson was let go recently after he assaulted a Top Gear producer over a catering misunderstanding. Already skating on thin ice thanks to a whole bunch of previous controversies, the BBC chose not to renew Clarkson's contract.
-That leaves the whole series in limbo: The BBC has committed to airing the remaining episodes of this season, which were postponed during the fracas, and the network insists it will continue producing new seasons in the post-Clarkson era.
-What's unclear is whether co-hosts Richard Hammond and James May will return to Top Gear next season. Both hosts have updated their Twitter bios: Hammond's reads "Can't explain it really . . . er, I do this car show and stuff," and May's says "Former TV presenter only remembered for saying 'Oh cock'."
-TopGear.com seems to be hedging its bet, scrubbing the three hosts' images from the site's top banner and swapping in a dreamy headshot of the Stig, apparently gazing upon a Ferrari LaFerrari.

Because while the three hosts are currently not working on the show, the Stig is still hard at work doing what he does best.
