Ferrari Confirms F150 Supercar Debut Via Instagram [2013 Geneva Auto Show]

2014 Ferrari F150

Ferrari has confirmed what we've suspected for some time now: that its Enzo successor, the F150 supercar, will be unveiled at the 2013 Geneva auto show. The announcement came from Ferrari's Instagram account, where the automaker posted a shadowy preview image of the F150′s front end along with a long caption outlining the hypercar's extensive use of F1 technology.

Although the confirmation of the car's Geneva debut is new, the photo—which we've re-posted above—isn't. We first glimpsed a lower-resolution iteration of the same image after it allegedly leaked out of a China preview event for the F150. The Instagram posting is devoid of any new details, though Ferrari helpfully tagged the photo with the humble hashtag "#destroythecompetition."

We'll have to wait until we drive the new Ferrari to explore the veracity of that hashtag (#CarandDriverproblems), but in the meantime you can catch up on all the background info we've gathered about the F150 to build anticipation. We've got spy photos, a spy video of an F150 test car lapping Ferrari's test track, details from a private New York event, photos of its carbon-fiber tub, a peek at the car's tail-end styling, and a look at the car's engine bay and HY-KERS hybrid powertrain. You might say we're #excited to see the F150 #inthemetal.
