Limited-Edition Models Join Range Rover Sport and LR4 Lineups

In case Land Rover's SUVs aren't luxurious enough for you and owning one isn't exclusive enough, the automaker announced two new limited-edition models at the 2012 New York International Auto Show. New for 2013 is the Range Rover Sport Limited Edition (pictured), and it joins the 2012 LR4 HSE Luxury Edition. More 2012 New York Auto Show Coverage The Range Rover Sport Limited Edition builds off of the Supercharged model and uses its 510-horsepower, 5.0-liter V-8. Unique exterior styling upgrades include red brake calipers and matching exterior trim. It will be available exclusively in Fuji White and Santorini Black exterior paint colors. The model's interior is decked in carbon fiber trim, with leather seats and surfaces and contrast-color stitching. Rounding out the package is an upgraded stereo: an 825-watt Harman Kardon system with 17 speakers. Land Rover will produce only 500 units. The LR4 HSE Luxury Edition includes the HSE and Luxury packages and adds bright silver and stainless-steel exterior trim, 20-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels in Sparkle finish and xenon adaptive front headlamps. Inside, it gets new Arabica-colored leather and contrast-color stitching, with expanded coverage over more cabin surfaces. Also new is a Dark Zebrano wood veneer. This package also includes the center console cooler box and the same upgraded stereo from the Ranger Rover Sport Limited Edition. No word yet on pricing for either model, but Land Rover has a history of expensive limited-edition versions. Remember the $170,000 Range Rover Ultimate Autobiography Edition? Exclusivity isn't cheap.
