Jaguar F-type: More Photos of the Camouflaged Prototype

Jaguar F-Type concept

More photos of Jaguar's F-type have sprung up in the wake of its New York auto show debut this past Wednesday. Still clad in its highly stylized "F" camouflage, the new photographs offer a look at the F-type from numerous additional angles.

Scheduled to appear in production form later this year, development of the F-type has progressed at a hurried pace. According to Adrian Hallmark, Jaguar's global brand director, the public's reaction was so positive to the C-X16 concept at last year's Frankfurt show, Jaguar decided to fast-track the development process for the "all-new Jaguar sports car."

Jag's new F-type will launch as a two-seat convertible and utilize an all-aluminum construction.  Jaguar claims a "range of petrol engines—including a new powerplant family"—will be available in the F-type.

According to Jaguar, just as the F-type was making its Big Apple debut, engineering prototypes were leaving Jaguar's Castle Bromwich plant—the same plant at which the production cars will be built—for final on-road testing.

It's been a while since we've had a genuine, two-seat sports car from the Cat; jaunty caps and string-back gloves can't be far behind.
