Ford has confirmed the hot Fiesta ST—previewed last November in concept form—for production and sale in Europe starting next year. The company says only that it is "open to the idea" of selling it in North America, but we think that statement is intended merely to build suspense. It's only a matter of time before some form of Fiesta ST is announced for our market, where the competition would be limited to basically two cars: The Fiat 500 Abarth and the Mini Cooper S.
