This past Saturday, we opened our doors and our parking lot—and, as it happened, a few lots belonging to our neighbors—for the fifth official Car and Driver Cars and Coffee event. Whereas previous gatherings were essentially limited only to C/D Backfires members, this time around our invitations were open, and the public responded en masse. After poring over the attendance numbers for nearly three minutes, our highly scientific analysis revealed one universal truth: People like doughnuts, and that goes for those of the frosty confectionary variety, too.
Here's a brief rundown of the event, by the numbers:
240-plus: Cars on display.
400-plus: People in attendance.
600: Doughnuts served.
300: Cups of coffee consumed.
200: Bottles of water handed out (it wasn't that hot, so, like the temperature, this figure stayed low).
350: Attendees who signed up to receive gratis C/D swag.

Vehicles present ranged from a Ferrari FF—used as a daily driver, no less—to a 1912 Overland, to an immaculate Smokey and the Bandit–era Pontiac Trans Am, to a collection of Nissan Skyline GT-Rs. We, of course, had our staff photographers record the event for your viewing pleasure, so in lieu of us prattling on about which cars we thought were the coolest, check out the photos in the gallery below and decide for yourself. Major thanks to everyone who turned out and made this Cars and Coffee event so great!
