With every new Batman movie, conversation in our office naturally turns to discussion of what the caped hero will drive. That question has been partially answered by Batman vs. Superman director Zack Snyder, who tweeted a photo of the latest Batmobile covered by a sheet. It appears even DC Comics hero cars are not immune to the inevitable "teaser" photo before being officially revealed.

From where we're sitting, Snyder's Batmobile looks something like a cross between the phallic Michael Keaton–era vehicle, the original George Barris–designed car, and the Tumbler from the Christopher Nolan–directed movies. Unlike the brutish Tumbler, a (hypothetical) military bridge-spanning vehicle capable of launching itself across rivers—or rooftops—that Bruce Wayne "borrowed" from his company's R&D department, Snyder's car is low and lean. While it incorporates beefy, Tumbler-like rear tires, along with some serious-looking brake cooling fins, the body shape hews closer to that of an actual car, like the Lincoln Futura concept car–based Barris creation. Although the Tumbler will always hold a special place in our hearts, we're intrigued by Snyder's effort, and we can't wait to see it totally uncovered.
