2015 Mazda MX-5 Miata Club

In addition to details about how to pre-order a special-edition model on the 25th Anniversary MX-5 Miata microsite, Mazda also released pricing information for the entire 2015 Miata lineup. It's excellent news for fans of the iconic roadster: Pricing barely ticks up a notch from last year's Miata.

As far as the softtop models go, the base Sport increases by a mere $250, to $24,765 for a five-speed manual; the Sport with a six-speed automatic transmission will run $27,025. The Club softtop is unchanged at $27,700 for the six-speed stick and $28,300 for the six-speed automatic. The Grand Touring softtop remains at $28,345 with a six-speed manual and $29,445 for the six-speed automatic transmission.

The power retractable hardtop (PRHT) prices also are essentially unchanged. The Club PRHT remains priced at $29,460 for the six-speed manual (the six-speed automatic sets you back $30,060) and there's also no increase in the Grand Touring PRHT at $30,245 with a stick and $31,345 for an automatic.

Just a handful of options packages are available:

• Convenience package ($1080 on the Sport/five-speed manual; standard on the Sport/automatic): Includes cruise control, keyless entry, power door locks; the trip display includes average mpg and ambient temperature.

• Premium package ($1390 on Grand Touring models): Features an anti-theft alarm, Mazda advanced keyless entry system, HID headlights, Bluetooth hands-free phone, and satellite radio.

• Suspension package ($650 on Grand Touring/six-speed-manual models only; standard on the Club model with six-speed manual): Includes a sport-tuned suspension, Bilstein dampers, and a limited-slip rear differential.

And for those who prefer their Miata to absorb less of the sun's energy, Crystal White Pearl Mica paint is available for $200.

Newly added at the top of the line is the 25th Anniversary Edition PRHT, ringing in at $33,000 for the six-speed manual and $33,450 for the automatic. Only 100 of the 25th Anniversary Editions will be available, and you'll have to register at the special microsite to get a shot at buying one.
