As the deluge of future product plans from Fiat-Chrysler's Investor Day 2014 information bomb continues, allow us to bring you some of the smaller news—literally. Dodge will add a subcompact, B-segment sedan and hatchback in 2018, when the two tiny rides will slot in underneath the C-sized Dart in the brand's car lineup.
So far, the cars have no name, but we do know they'll be front-drive and offer turbocharged power. It's worth pointing out that "turbocharged" doesn't necessarily mean "cool and fast," although with Dodge taking up the mantle of FCA's sporty brand, it's a good bet that dynamics will be high on the list of priorities. The cars don't appear on a slide that shows the future of SRT (embedded at the bottom of the post), which was just shuffled under the Dodge brand, but given that the product info FCA revealed stops in 2018, the year the base cars are to appear, we're not ready to rule out a high-performance version of at least one of the body styles for 2019 or later.
