The first images of the 2014 Honda Fit appear to have leaked online—first posted by Indian Autos Blog—and if they're legit, some big styling changes are in store for the subcompact. Today's Fit looks a lot like a tiny minivan, complete with a one-box, jellybean-esque profile and a tall roof. The new car carries over that shape, but wears much-more-aggressive front- and rear-end styling. Two cars are pictured, a yellow one and a blue one that we believe is a hybrid.
A few things point to these images being the real deal, but the biggest potential giveaway is the camera/laser peeking out from behind the top of the windshield. We recently reported the 2014 Fit would offer a laser-based low-speed collision-avoidance system with active braking. Otherwise, the car's styling looks Honda-correct, and the blue hybrid's fancy wheel covers are similar to the new Accord plug-in hybrid's fare. Unseen in any of these photos is the CVT Honda is putting in the next Fit, or the Fit's upcoming SUV variant, previewed by the Urban SUV concept. The new Fit arrives next year, so we won't need to wait long to find out whether it looks like the cars you see here.
