Fisker Hires Joel Ewanick

Former GM marketing boss Joel Ewanick has been hired by beleaguered EV maker Fisker, after Richard Beattie, who currently holds the position, retired. A report by Automotive News suggests that Ewanick's position is only temporary Ewanick has been working with Fisker as a marketing consultant for at least six weeks and will fill Beattie's role until a full-time replacement is named, Ormisher said. Beattie — formerly of Ford, Mazda and Jaguar — was hired by Fisker as its chief commercial officer last December. Ewanick was officially fired by GM over a sponsorship deal involving the Manchester United soccer club, but the rumormill suggests that there was much more to it than GM was willing to let on.
