Toyota to Unveil 2013 Venza at the New York Auto Show

Toyota will reveal its updated Venza at the 2012 New York International Auto Show. Originally launched for model-year 2009, the freshened crossover will get updated styling and more standard features for 2013. Exterior changes include a new upper and lower grille, fog lamps, taillights, 19-inch wheel design and three new exterior colors: Attitude Black, Cypress Pearl and Cosmic Gray Mica. It's hard to gauge much from the teaser pic because it just shows a narrower, more angled headlight that, of course, uses the biggest trend in headlights: LEDs. Trim levels and powertrains will carry over from the 2012 model: base LE and midlevel XLE models will use either the 182-horsepower, 2.7-liter four- cylinder or 268-hp, 3.5-liter V-6. The V-6 will again be standard on Limited versions. Toyota plans to offer new standard features on the 2013 Venza, including a blind spot mirror, puddle lamps and integrated turn signals in side mirrors on base LE models. Newly standard on XLE versions are a driver memory seat, reverse-tilt side mirrors and display audio with navigation and Toyota's Entune multimedia system. New standards for the top-line Limited trim include LED daytime running lights and premium HDD navigation with Entune. We'll get more details when the New York auto show opens to the press on April 4.
