Toyota to Debut Face-Lifted Venza with More Standard Features [New York Auto Show]

2013 Toyota Venza teaser image

Toyota's handsome Venza crossover—basically a Camry wagon on stilts—is getting a face lift for 2013. The rejiggered model is set to appear at next month's New York auto show, where Toyota will show off its freshened exterior styling, new standard features, and updated option packages.

The exterior changes are minor, being limited to revised upper and lower grilles, fog lights, and taillights. Well, there also are new 19-inch wheels and three new paint choices: Attitude Black, Cypress Pearl, and Cosmic Gray Mica.

The LE trim level gets blind-spot mirrors, puddle lamps, and mirror-mounted turn signals as standard, while the XLE adds a memory function for the power driver's seat, reverse-tilt side mirrors, and an upgraded navigation/entertainment system with Toyota Entune and JBL audio.

Both LE and XLE are available with a four-cylinder or V-6 engine and front- or all-wheel drive. The Venza Limited only comes with the V-6 and a choice of either the front- or all-wheel drive.

We don't particularly dislike the Venza, although it can ride stiffly and isn't particularly involving to drive; these updates won't fix those issues. Our test of the four-cylinder model is available here, and the V-6 here.
