-Subaru is sharpening up its strong-selling Impreza with a newfound focus on "dynamic" design and a "solid" aesthetic foundation. However that designer-speak is meant to translate to regular English, we can say that it all comes together well, forming a muscular and handsome hatchback. The new look addresses the somewhat-awkward transition in the current car from fender flare to front door. Rather than the flare ending abruptly on the fender panel, the line now flows into the door, creating a smart crease that runs the length of the car, one that we were happy to hear will carry over to the production vehicle. Other subtle touches gussy up the new Impreza, too, such as side mirrors that are far smaller than those of the current car, helping to avoid the budget-conscious off-roader look.
