The Tata E-Nano Electric version

Tata Motors the Indian car maker is planning to produce the world’s cheapest car Tata Nano selling at 1,700 euros ($2,600) and according to a German press report; they also plan for an electric-drive version.

And according to Hamburg-based Auto Bild newspaper, The E-Nano would be built in collaboration with the Norwegian electric car specialist firm Miljoebil Grenland. However, the industry analysts have expressed skepticism for that price of Tata Nano because of the rising prices on raw material today.

Nano is powered by a 623 cc engine and capable of producing 33 horsepower. This Nano comes with no air-conditioning, electric windows or power steering but the deluxe version is said to have air-conditioning.
