700hp Lightning GT Electric Car

It’s official! The Lightning GT will be officially revealed with all its 700 horses and its other beauty, the electric engine, at the British Motor Show. To be honest it was about time because we have grown tired of just looking at pictures of it and hearing promises.

The Lightning GT will be powered by four 120kw power Permanent Magnet brushless motors, which can be harged in 10 minutes. Specs say that this baby will ‘fly’ from 0 to 60mph in just 4 seconds, thanks to its electric motor that is able to pass the full thrust of the torque to the wheels from standstill, giving the model a great advantage over gas powered sportcars which require the vehicle to build up the rev count first.

I know I will never get to drive one of these, but a man can dream about such things. There is no penalty for that, is it?
