What makes the 2013 Infiniti FX37 really stand out among luxury crossovers is its heavy emphasis on performance. The all-wheel-drive FX37 we tested comes with a 3.7-liter V-6, good for 325 horsepower and 267 pounds-feet of torque, mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission. We found its precision handling and quickness impressive, and although the utility is there, it's hardly the focus of this sport-tuned SUV. The FX37 we tested starts at $46,700, including a $950 destination charge, and gets an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 16/22 mpg city/highway. Standard features include 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels; xenon high-intensity-discharge headlights; leather seats; heated, power driver and front-passenger seats; power moonroof with sliding sunshade; power liftgate; black lacquer interior trim; 7-inch multimedia screen; pushbutton start; backup camera; and Bluetooth connectivity. Loaded with optional equipment offered among three trim packages, the FX37 we tested totaled $57,250, including destination. The $2,950 Technology Package includes intelligent cruise control, lane departure warning and forward collision warning; the $3,300 Deluxe Touring Package adds 20-inch aluminum alloy wheels, quilted leather seats and maple interior accents; and the $4,300 Premium Package adds navigation with traffic and weather, an 8-inch display, a blind spot warning system and a power tilt/telescoping steering wheel.
