Chevrolet Announces Production Spark EV to Debut in L.A. [2012 L.A. Auto Show]

2013 Chevrolet Spark, as fed by gasoline Chevy has revealed that the production 2014 Spark EV will make its auto-show debut at the 2012 Los Angeles auto show at the end of this month. (A regular, gas-powered Spark is pictured above; the EV shouldn't look much different.) Full details on the battery-powered Spark have not yet been released, but we do know that its powertrain will be good for 114 hp and we've even helped build an example of the little EV's motor. It's worth mentioning that the Spark EV's output beats that of its gas-powered counterpart (which we rather enjoyed driving, despite its dearth of quickness) by a healthy 31 hp.
