Volvo Incentive Offers Two Months of Free Payments

During its summer sales event, Volvo is offering longer free-maintenance plans on its 2013 models and is allowing buyers to waive the first two months of finance or lease payments on its 2012 models. There's a catch, though. The waived payments have a cash limit and must be financed through U.S. Bank. Also, Volvo's longer maintenance schedule for its 2013 models includes fewer, more spread out service intervals than were offered on its 2012 and 2011 models. The special two free payments are offered on the 2012 XC60, XC70, S60, S80, C30 and C70. You have to lease or finance through U.S. Bank to get the first two months free. Also, depending on the size of your loan, the offer might not totally waive your payments. The bank promotion pays out a maximum of $450 a month for a total of $900 in free payments. The free payments can be combined with special 2.9% financing for 72 months on the 2012 C30, S60, S80, C70 and XC70. There are lease deals, too, but the large money-down requirements don't make them great offers. The waived-payment incentive lasts through July 31. Buyers of the 2012 S60 or XC60 who currently own an Acura, Audi, BMW, Infiniti, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, Honda, Nissan, Saab, Toyota or Volkswagen will get an extra $1,000 off the purchase price, according to Volvo. If you currently own a Volvo, or did in the past six months, you can subtract another $1,000 on any 2012 or 2013 model. The loyalty program and the conquest program end July 2.. As for the maintenance incentive, for the past two model years Volvo has offered five-year/45,000 miles of  free maintenance and five-year/50,000 miles free wear-and-tear coverage, roadside assistance and basic warranty coverage. For the 2013 model year, the service intervals have changed, allowing the complimentary service to run through 50,000 miles instead of 45,000 miles on the 2011 and 2012 models, but there's a catch here, too. Past model years had six scheduled service intervals (which includes checking tire pressure and exterior lights as well as replacing the engine oil and filter, cabin air filter, coolant, washer fluid, brake and transmission fluids), but 2013s only get five, once every 10,000 miles.
