Subaru's compact sedan and hatchback were redesigned for model-year 2012, and the 2013 model sees what Subaru calls "minor enhancements." Changes to the 2013 version include additional equipment options on the base 2.0i base trim and new options for higher trims, but overall this is the same Impreza as last year.

The 2013 sedan and hatchback are again available in 2.0i, 2.0i Premium and 2.0i Limited trims. The hatchback is available in 2.0i Sport Premium and 2.0i Sport Limited trims.

Base 2.0i models get Bluetooth hands-free phone connectivity with audio streaming, iPod controls, a USB port and auxiliary input jack — all standard. Steering-wheel-mounted audio and Bluetooth controls are also newly standard equipment. The Impreza 2.0i Sport Premium adds a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter handle as standard.

The 2.0i Premium, Limited and Sport Limited models equipped with the optional navigation system now get a rearview camera.

The Impreza-based 2013 WRX and WRX STI models carry over unchanged. No word yet on pricing or estimated delivery date to dealerships, but Cars.com's nationwide inventory lists only 2,351 model-year 2012 Subaru Imprezas.
