The EPA has gathered test-cycle economy figures for the 2012 Tesla Model S electric sedan, including MPGe and expected driving range. The EPA has rated the sedan at 89 MPGe combined, lower than the Nissan Leaf's 99 MPGe, the Ford Focus Electric's 105 MPGe, the Mitsubishi i-MiEV's 112 MPGe, and the Honda Fit EV's stellar 118 MPGe—all smaller conveyances, to be sure, but also the only other fully electric cars. (The 2011 Smart fortwo ED barely qualified as a car in our minds, but in the interest of being inclusive, it earned an 87-MPGe rating. It was updated after our test.)
