Jeep Liberty Production to End Mid-August; Replacement On Sale in May 2013 with Improved Fuel Economy

A UAW Local 12 union official confirmed today that production of the current Jeep Liberty will end on August 16. In order to retool the line and complete a 280,000-square-foot addition to the body shop, the section of the Toledo Assembly Complex that produces the Liberty will be shut down for several months; Wrangler production will be unaffected.
