2013 Hyundai Veloster Turbo Squeaks In Just Under $20,000

Hyundai won't officially announce pricing for the Veloster Turbo until Wednesday, but CEO John Krafcik told Inside Line that the turbocharged hatchback will carry a $1,600 premium over the base car.

By our estimation, the Veloster Turbo will start at $19,675 including destination. A Mini Cooper S retails for $23,100, while the Fiat 500  Abarth starts at $22,700. With transaction prices running just below sticker and inventories remaining low, it might be hard to end up paying less than $20k for a Veloster Turbo. Whether the car is an improvement over the less-than-involving base model will be determined in a few weeks, when we attend a preview drive for the car.
