Recall Alert: 2012 Nissan Altima and Nissan Versa

Nissan is recalling 976 model-year 2012 Altima and Versa vehicles because the side curtain airbags may not inflate, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. In certain cases, the propellant mixture used to inflate the bags may be incorrect. This could lead to the airbag not deploying in a crash and an increased risk of injury. Nissan will notify owners starting Feb. 27, and dealers will replace one or both side curtain airbag modules for free.
