Nissan Hi-Cross Concept is Coming, Probably a Hybrid [Geneva Auto Show]

The teaser photo above and the video below tell us a few things about Nissan's Hi-Cross concept. It's a crossover. It will be green in the literal sense, which points to it also being earth-friendly in some way—you know, like most crossovers. It's going to have a cool, digital-age gauge cluster. The "PWR" meter below the tach suggests it will have some sort of battery-fed hybrid setup.

Given its European debut, we'd wager that this concept hints at the next Nissan Qashqai, a small crossover that shares its platform with the Rogue we get here. The same styling could easily migrate to the Rogue, and a production hybrid—quite possibly using the same supercharged 2.5-liter engine/CVT/lithium-ion battery expected for the next Altima hybrid—certainly wouldn't be out of the question. Details will arrive next week at the 2012 Geneva show.
