Dartz Prombron Black Dragon Debuts for 12 Lunatics in China

Dartz, the Latvian company behind the world's most nucking futs SUVs, has one-upped itself yet again. The $7 million Prombron Black Dragon edition—12 units, offered only in China to celebrate the Year of the Dragon—gilds an already gilded lily. Beyond the expected baroque detailing, there's a lead-door package offered with "memories of Fukushima." We couldn't make this stuff up, now could we? Compared to the, er, typical Prombron SUV, the Black Dragon edition has been stretched more than 23 inches and adds some limo-like touches inside: a 42-inch TV, an electrochromic roof, and piano-black flooring. It is also, naturally, dripping with lovably vulgar styling features. The logo is diamond, gold, and ruby. Fenders are finished in silver. The rims are called "bullet" wheels. Like all Prombron SUVs, the Black Dragon is built mostly on GM running gear—it borrows a truck chassis and transmission, and unless specified otherwise, a GM diesel or gasoline V-8 is installed. Armoring is available and, while we can't confirm, we imagine it's frequently spec'd. The sticker price is about $7 million. Acceptable form of payment: bank transfer, personal check, fraudulent bearer bonds, or duffel bag full of Krugerrands.
