Jeep Adds More Attitude to 2013 Grand Cherokee SRT8

Jeep's amped-up Grand Cherokee SRT8 is already loaded with attitude, but apparently it's not enough. Two aggressive-looking appearance packages will join the SRT8 lineup for 2013. The white Alpine and black Vapor special edition models add a new Black Vapor chrome finish to the standard 20-inch wheels; a black-gloss exterior finish; new hood and door badges; and a unique grill, light bar and step pad. Horsepower remains the same: The models use the SRT8's 470-horsepower, 6.4-liter V-8 and build off of its equipment list. SRT8 models have been lowered an inch and sport body-colored wheel flares and side sills, LED daytime running lights, a more sculpted hood with functional heat extractors, a liftgate spoiler and dual exhaust. Inside, front-seat occupants sit on bolstered SRT-styled Nappa leather and suede seats. SRT8 models also feature leather and carbon fiber interior trim. There's no word yet on pricing, but the regular 2013 Grand Cherokee SRT8 starts at $60,920, including a $925 destination charge. Plan to spend more on these special edition models.
