Well, before you start deciding whether it’s Ford or Holden, let me tell you it’s neither. It’s a Folden (Ford + Holden). It was created by New Zealand music radio station, ‘The Roc’ as a solution for the ongoing battle between their listeners over who is mightier - Ford or Holden.

The Rock created the car from the scratch, using best parts from both sides. Folden comes out after three months of efforts and more than 800 man hours and its building cost somewhere between NZD$85,000 and $95,000.

In order to make Folden, the rear 3/4s of a 1970’s Holden HQ sedan has been fused with front-end of a 1969 Ford Mustang. Power for the vehicle comes from a 302 cubic inch V8 Ford engine. And finally the Folden comes out with a front half 1969 Ford Mustang, back half HQ Holden.

The other features of the Folden include one-off Chip Foose 20-inch alloy wheels; the paint job is gun metal grey with orange racing stripes, high-end audio system, custom rebuilt interior and a cool badge that blends Mustang horse and Holden lion together.

Folden is up for the garb on the ‘Trade me’ and the bids will end on 6th May, 2010. Also, there is a noble cause behind the making of this vehicle and the proceeds from the auction of ‘The Folden’ will go to the NZ Mental Health Foundation for Out Of The Blue – an organization set up to help combat depression in men.
