-Did you think the captians of cool over at AEV were going to stop at churning out bad-ass, Hemi-powered Jeep Wrangler conversions and a Rubicon's worth of sweet Jeep upgrade parts? Hell no! The off-road specialists at AEV have turned their sights on the heavy-duty Ram 2500 and 3500 models, and following an enticing preview at last year's SEMA aftermarket show in Las Vegas, they're releasing the first batch of cosmetic and functional parts for the beastliest Ram trucks. Predictably, the results are, well, bad-ass.

Looking at the complete trucks pictured here—especially the white Ram 2500 with the boxed-in flat bed!—we'd find it pretty difficult to choose from among AEV's front bumper, suspension kit, raised-air intake, and bespoke wheels. The company will soon be cranking out turn-key models equipped the way you want—meaning if you want it all, but don't want to install it yourself, wait a few weeks. The bumper starts at $2300 and is a heavy-duty stamped-steel piece, and it can be optioned with attachments for fog lights, a light bar, or a winch, and it's engineered to handle up to a 16,500-pound winch.
-AEV calls the suspension kit "HD 3-inch Dualsport SC," and it starts at a relatively affordable $1900. Available for 2014-and-up Ram 2500 and 3500 4×4 models, it includes new bump stops, a radius arm relocation kit, front steering brackets, a forged drag link, front track bar and track bar tower, a drive-shaft spacer, rear U-bolts (Ram 3500), 2-inch rear lift blocks (Ram 3500), 2-inch rear coil spacers (Ram 2500), a rear track bar relocation bracket (Ram 2500), rear sway bar end links (Ram 2500), AEV-tuned Bilstein shocks, and an AEV ProCal Module for recalibrating the speedometer. AEV insists its lifted suspension maintains stock steering alignment and does not affect payload, ride quality, or handling. To complete the lifted, off-road-ready look, AEV sells two wheel options separately for $240 a pop.

Finally, the raised air intake. A colossal, A-pillar-straddling snorkel is something we believe every Ram 2500/3500 should have from the factory, but you'll need to shell out $420 for AEV's tough-looking example. So far, the intake is only compatible with diesel Ram models, but a gas-engine application is on the way. We say that if you have a Ram 2500 or 3500 and you're looking to amp up its capability—not to mention its already mean-looking visuals—your bank-account-draining summer installation project has arrived.
