With all of the space the Chicago auto show's McCormick Place venue affords automakers, it's no surprise that Chevy filled a good portion of its area with a gaggle of new Corvettes. While none of the Vettes were making their in-the-metal debuts in Chicago, it was nice to see more or less every version currently or soon to be produced. Here they are:
This base Stingray coupe looked great in its metallic Laguna Blue paint, and it bears repeating that the ride comes standard with a 455-hp 6.2-liter V-8. A seven-speed manual transmission is part of the mix, too—all for just $51,995. CORVETTE STINGRAY Z51 INSTRUMENTED TEST ››
As good as the entry-level Vette is, we're absolutely crapping ourselves over the high-performance Z06 version. Seen here in the same yellow-over-black paint scheme it wore for its Detroit reveal, the Z06 is still piquing our automotive desires a month after it debuted, and its stats are nearly as staggering. In case you were curious why this list of Chicago's hottest Corvettes consists of four-and-a-half cars, here's that half a car: The Z06 cutaway model Chevy brought. We can tell you the car's specs, wax poetic on what a technical masterpiece it is, and drool over its exotic construction—or you can march right on down to McCormick Place and see it all for yourself. Yeah, it's worth a look. SEE WHY VICE PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN WANTS (A WHOLE) ONE ››
Speaking of taking a peek up the Corvette Z06's skirt, studying a cutaway model isn't the only way to go—show-goers could also learn quite a lot about the Z06 from the C7.R race car. That's because most of what makes the C7.R tick came straight from the street-legal Z06. (Watch this video for a full breakdown on the connection.) Oh, and of course, the C7.R manages to out-awesome the Z06 in the looks department. Seriously, the thing is badder than bad-ass. FULL CORVETTE C7.R DETAILS, PHOTOS ››

The Black Widow Corvette probably would have made this list on the merits of the life-size cardboard cutout of Scarlett Johansson nearby, but no offense to ScarJo, it's pretty sweet on its own. You see, the Black Widow Vette will make an appearance in the upcoming movie Captain America: The Winter Soldier as the ride of choice for Johansson's character Black Widow. The Vette is hot, and we're pretty sure the universe is in agreement over Ms. Johansson's visual status, so this was an easy choice. FULL BLACK WIDOW CORVETTE INFO, PHOTOS ››
