Things $500,000 will Buy You in Vail – One Parking Space

How much would you be willing to cough up for a solitary parking space? Well, if the parking space in question is situated in the prestigious Founders Garage, itself located in the ultra posh town of Vail, Colorado, the answer is a cool half-million American dollars—no kidding.

Positioned just a block from the popular Vista Bahn chairlift, parking spaces at Founders have apparently not taken too much of a hit in the recent economic downturn. The Vail Daily reported that the last parking spot sold in the garage went for almost $350,000, and the owner of the up-for-grabs spot believes that $500K is the new going rate. The pricey parking space is also located on the top floor, and next to the exit in the indoor, heated Founders garage—no doubt making it seem like even more of a value to the idle rich. Walking across the parking deck with your skis can be such a pain, after all.
