Hennessey Tunes Corvette Stingray to 708 Horsepower with HPE700 Twin-Turbo Kit, Everyone Wins

2014 Hennessey HPE700 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray

Damn near immediately after the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray was introduced to the world, Texas tuner extraordinaire Hennessey Performance Engineering whipped up multiple insane power upgrade packages for it. The kits—HPE600, HPE700, HPE800, and HPE1000—are named in reference to the amount of power they give the Stingray, but they were supercharged. Now Hennessey has detailed the 708-hp HPE700 Twin-Turbo model, which is, you guessed it, twin-turbocharged. The outfit also released a video of the beastly Corvette doing its beastly thing. It's fairly exciting.

Only 24 of the twin-turbo packages will be made for 2014. Yikes. Well, 24 lucky buyers are in for quite the treat, because they'll be getting a pair of turbos, a stainless-steel exhaust, an air-to-air intercooler, upgraded fuel system, HPE engine calibration, and, of course, very professional installation. A one-year or 12,000-mile warranty also is included, and buyers can go nuts and add Hennessey CarbonAero spoilers and a body kit, Hennessey wheels, Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, a Penske adjustable suspension, custom interior leathers, and carbon-fiber interior trim.

If a 708-hp, twin-turbocharged C7 Corvette isn't interesting enough for you, Hennessey will be making 24 800-hp HPE800 models as 12 1000-hp HPE1000 Twin-Turbo models. Those versions get fully built engines to handle the extra oomph, and we're fairly certain that either car will happily roast its rear tires as well as the HPE700 in the video below:
