A few days ago, we brought you the news that the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG is nearing the end of its production run, and that the Germans would celebrate the gullwinged supercar's life with a farewell edition to be launched at the Los Angeles auto show next week. Now it's been made official, and the final 350 of Mercedes' halo offerings will be SLS AMG GT Final Editions.

Changes to the Final Edition include a new splitter, a large rear wing, and a black hood. The limited-edition will be available as both a coupe, with its famous gullwing doors, and as a roadster. More details will be made available next week, when the SLS AMG GT Final Edition will take its place alongside the S65 AMG on Mercedes' stand.
