Recall Alert: 2013-2014 Chevrolet Camaro Coupe

2014ChevroletCamaro

Vehicles Affected: Model-year 2013 and 2014 Chevrolet Camaro coupes manufactured between June 9 and Sept. 6, 2013

The Problem: The required airbag warning label on the sun visor may peel off. This violates federal safety standards pertaining to occupant crash protection, and the driver and front passenger may not be warned of the risks of airbag deployment, increasing the potential for injury in a crash.

The Fix: GM began notifying owners on Oct. 28, instructing them how to inspect the visor sticker; if necessary, dealers will replace the visor for free.

What Owners Should Do: Owners can call GM at 800-521-7300 or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration at 888-327-4236, or go to www.safercar.gov, for more info.
