Recall Alert: 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport

Mitsubishi is recalling 3,181 model-year 2011 Outlander Sport compact crossovers due to a problem with the panoramic glass roof that could allow it to detach, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The affected vehicles were manufactured between Aug. 26, 2010, and March 29, 2011. The glass roof may have been installed without the application of primer before the adhesive. Without primer, the roof may detach from the vehicle, resulting in a road hazard for other vehicles. Mitsubishi will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the panoramic glass to determine whether primer was used; if no primer is found, the glass will be reinstalled for free.
