2015 BMW M3 Spied: Just Like M Used to Make It

What It Is: The next-generation BMW M3, caught by our spy photographers in Scandinavia ahead of its press launch later this year. Based on the F30 3-series, the next M3 gets its own development code for the first time. Internally, the car is referred to as F80, while the upcoming M4 coupe is known as F82. The M3 will revert to a straight-six engine, which will feature twin turbos and slightly more power than the outgoing naturally aspirated 4.0-liter V-8. The M3 moniker will be reserved for the four-door version, while the coupe and convertible versions will be known as M4s. Stylistic changes to the body will be notable, but not drastic.
